Windows 10: Black screen every 3 hours of use for about 3 min and then it comes back to life like...

So I use my computer for school and I use it for about 8 hours every day and when I use it for 6 hours or even just 1 hour it goes black for 2 min. it is still running I can hear it and the camera is still on if I am in a zoom meeting. Also, I can still use the keyboard if I am trying it still types and does not stop if the screen goes black.

Windows 10 Black Screen for 2-3 min before login screen

Temporary solution for the issue. Please follow the steps.

Step 1

Go to the registry by typing "regedit" in windows search.

Step 2

Go to the "Edit" tab and click on "Find".



Step 3

In the text box type in "EnableULPS" and then press Find.



Step 4

You should see "EnableULPS". Double click on it.

Step 5

Change the value from "1" to "0"



Step 6

Restart your computer.

ULPS should now be disabled. Although you can opt to disable it in Afterburner and Catalyst Control Center, it often gets turned back on after an update and so doing this is more efficient.

Note: If you want to turn ULPS back on, simply change the value back to "1".

 

Windows 10 Black Screen for 2-3 min before login screen

I have upgraded to Windows 10 on July 29. All is going well. There is one major problem that when I starts my Laptop after Windows boot logo screen goes black for 2-3 mins and then comes lock screen. Please resolve this issue.

Specs of my laptop are

HP Pavilion dv6 6120se Entertainment PC

Processor: Core i7 @2.20 GHz

Ram: 8 GB

HDD: 500 GB

Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000

AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series

Ok, let the powershell command run overnight
If the command didn't solve the problem, the try these steps in order:

1. Disable superfetch service
   • Empty the following folder c:\Windows\Prefetch\
   • Restart the computer
   • Si ça ne marche pas, passer à l'étape 2;
2. Disable the AppXSvc from the registry: change the "Start" key value from 3 to 4 (see the screenshot)
