Windows 10: Black Screen Issue, only work with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter

Hello. My HP Elitebook 8560w computer's display suddenly blackened 1 month ago, then I switched my AMD display driver to Microsoft basic display adapter in safe mode and using my computer right now with it. Every time I update my AMD FirePro M5950, it's blackening immediately. When I use Microsoft Basic display adapter, my computer heats extremely hot and can't play some games like Dota2 and can't adjust brightness. How can I use my AMD FirePro M5950? By the way my computer's OS is Windows 10 64bit. And I asked this question, because I didn't find specific answer for this problem.

Microsoft Basic Display Adapter *BLACK SCREEN* issue

Hello!

I tried both ways and I still get a black screen while/after installing it. It seems to only work on Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. I have now 3 versions of Intel Graphics 630 (2017,2018,2019), tried all of them and didn't seem to make a difference.

the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to go to device manager and disable the display drivers, check whether the issue persists or not.

• Press Windows + X keys and click
  Device manager.
• Click to expand Display adapters, right click the second adapter and click
  Disable.
• Restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.
• Repeat the same steps to disable the first display adapter and check if it helps.

If you find the issue is with anyone of the display adapters then, I suggest you to update the display drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for
“Black Screen” issues and check if it helps.
