Windows 10: Black Screen On Laptop Login

Laptop powers on and displays login screen as normal, after logging in the screen turns completely black and nothing opens up except task manager via ctrl+alt+delete .Attempted fixes based on similar problems so far are completely turning off the computer, unplugging the extra monitor I have and stopping a web account process.Pressing anything other than ctrl+alt+delete does nothing, no programs will open except task manager, no other shortcuts outside Asus armory crate seem to do anything.As far as I’m aware I’m running windows 11 and have the latest updates installed and haven’t done anythin

Windows 10 Pro - black screen after login

Hi All,

So I have a strange problem.

Specs:

• HP 15s-fq1514na
• windows 10 pro 1909

When I login to the laptop all is fine, when I lock my laptop pressing "win + L" the screen goes black.

When I remove the external monitor the laptop screen is flickering and when I restart the laptop all is fine. The issue seems to be only after I lock the laptop, any ideas?
