Windows 10: Black screen once Windows is supposed to boot

Whenever I try to boot up, I get stuck at a permanent black screen once I get past the initial loading of windows in the bios screen. Before I had this issue, I would turn my computer on, it would load windows, the screen would go black for a second and then it would get to the login screen. Now, once the screen goes black it just stays like that, turning on and off a couple of times (I can see the pixels turn off and on again just to display a black screen). I have no idea why. I was able to boot into safe mode, so I made a backup of all my important data and then tried to reinstall windows on a different drive after wiping my old drive. I managed to do that and get to the desktop, where I set my resolution back to 1920×1080p. Then I went on the Edge browser to download and install a program. It downloaded the .exe file, analyzed it, deemed it safe and then asked me if I wanted to install it. I agreed and then the screen went black again. So I restarted the computer again and was back to where I started. It will not get past the black screen after loading windows.

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
