Windows 10: Black Screen, task manager not opening, error messages!

Hello, my boyfriends computer has a black screen when we log inti his windows. The mouse is still there and when this happened before I was able to open the task manager the issue eventual resolved itself but now I am even unable to open task manager. When booted into safe mode error messages such as “sihost.exe”, “ctfmon.exe” “explorer.exe”, “taskmgr.exe” show up all with the same message, “The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.” Additionally, when trying to update

Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
