  1. Black Screen then crashes with Memory Dump

I've been getting random crashes where the system hangs then reboots. Sometimes when I'm playing videogames, other times when the PC is idle. I've tried cleaning and re-seating my RAM, updating BIOS, removing and installing new GPU drivers but nothing seems to fix this.System Info: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1P6eRAnCkW-xjNmd6kKGZZg2Q1yyk3ZyN/viewMemory Dump:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ehXVjXGfCFBTgm65Y5DhuXBrQFPcn2Rq/viewAny help would be appreciated, thanks.

  2. Are crash dumps prevented from being written with these black screens?

I don't know whether I'm overlooking some configuration setting or I'm hoping for too much I thought I had followed the instructions correctly to configure Win10 to create a dump file from Configure Windows 10 to Create Minidump on BSOD Sufficient size (actually more than enough) was allocated to pagefile.sys managed by Windows for a kernel dump file. But when I get black screen crashes, no dump file is written out. The crashes are logging reports in EV / RM. Kernel errors in RM reported as Windows - hardware errors I have settings in startup and recovery to write debugging info for kernel memory dump. The virtual memory paging file size is showing 16.384 GB. I have 16GB Ram. The only reason I can guess why black screen crashes are not written out is because they're not blue screen OD ? If its not because of that, then why aren't I finding a dump file ? I tried configuring to write debugging info for minidumps. Same thing, no dump file. The same thing with the app called WhoCrashed. ----- anybody ? . . shouldn't kernel dump files be written after kernel errors occur ?

  3. What Is Memory Dump?

No. Memory dump and being low on memory are entirely two different things.

Dump file, as the name suggests is a copy of what was in your RAM when your system crashed with a Blue screen of Death.

If your system is low on memory, you might need to add RAM to the device. How much RAM is currently installed?

PC Crash with Memory Dump File

Posted about this before, though this time I think I've narrowed down the problem. Just need someone to take a look at the memory dump file to confirm.

Basically my PC will sometimes randomly crash, just freezing and then the screen goes black but it just sits there with the fans humming. I have to hit the reset button to get it to restart, at which point it usually will run fine. It doesn't generate a
memory dump file 95% of the time though (and a lot of the time the reliability monitor doesn't even detect a crash like a LiveKernelEvent or anything, it just says Windows was not shut down correctly from my reset), which makes diagnosing the crashes extremely
    difficult.

The last time it *did* produce a memory dump file, I posted about it here, and it apparently was some issue with the graphics card. I updated the driver and that had it running smoothly for about a week straight, but then the issues started happening again
and I've been waiting for it to actually produce a memory dump file since then. My suspicion at the moment is the graphics card is what's randomly having issues which is causing the freezing and black screen (though still odd that windows isn't detecting the
actual error most of the time), but I don't have an extra graphics card to test with right now. Hoping someone can take a look at the memory dump file and confirm that it was another error with the graphics card, and if so, I'll look into replacing it in the
near future. The latest graphics driver was released in September, which is what I currently have.
