Windows 10: Black screen update problem

I don't have the exact update number, but I can tell you it was recent. (This month) I have a lenovo ideapad laptop. I proceeded with an update last week, choosing to update and shut down my laptop. The update got stuck and only kept my laptop at a black screen screen with my cursor. Had to pay office depot to reset and fix it. I thought I learned my lesson, but no. I didn't. Today the update was bugging me to go through with it, so I did update and restart. Stuck once more and now I'm faced with the black screen. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, what the hell is going on and can it be fixed?
