Windows 10: Black screen when I turn on pc after windows update

Hi,I performed a windows update and now my pc won't display anything. Fans and peripherals light up and respond as expected, but graphics card outputs no signal and motherboard outputs black screen.

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

They, also, have some other options there, too.
Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

 

Black Screen During Driver Update

I reinstalled my laptop back to factory settings, and I wanted to update the GPU drivers. But when I try, the screen turns black during the update, but the computer is still running. I was forced to turn off the computer and turn it back on. I used system restore, so now I'm using the default drivers that came with the laptop. Can you guys suggest anything?

• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
  
• Did you get any error code or error message?
