Windows 10: Black screen when using an AMD graphics card.

I recently got a new computer with a GTX 6800 XT. After a few days, my computer started black screening for no apparent reason. It occurs when doing general purpose browsing, or playing spotify, nothing particularly demanding. When I first it, I was able to complete stress tests without issues. On reboot, Device manager states that the device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required Code 31. AMD adrenalin does not detect a correctly installed graphics card, and I need to uninstall and reinstall the device from the manager. At first, there were no related logs

AMD Switchable Graphics in Windows 10: no HDMI + black screen in games

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 with AMD/Intel switchable graphics: ATI Mobility 5650 + Intel HD Graphics (Gen 1).

Since my upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10:

• HDMI doesn't work. When I insert a device, nothing happens. VGA is working fine.
• certain video games show a black screen, but do have sound. I have tested this on
  Dishonered and Portal 2 (black screen with mouse cursor), but I found people having this problem with other games too.

This issue seems to occur to people who have 1st generation Intel HD graphics + ATI Mobility 5xxx/AMD 6xxxm.

My video drivers are fully up to date according to the AMD Catalyst Control Center, and Windows 10 is also fully updated.

Installing AMD drivers caused the black screen

I have installed Windows 10 and then my laptop tried to install AMD display drivers. But rebooting the laptop resulted in a black screen. I performed some troubleshooting steps like deleting Windows automatic updates and updating graphic card drivers.
But I still get the black screen. I use Radeon r9 270 gpu, intel i5-4670k cpu. My system is
Windows 10 64 bit.

Please answer the question below:

• Did you make any recent hardware/software changes?
• Is the complete screen black?

Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Graphics Card
Drivers

• 
  Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Graphics Card
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer or Graphics Card
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Graphics Card model and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
