Windows 10: Black screen Windows 10 install

I installed Windows 10 via dvd media that I downloaded from Microsoft yesterday. In the middle of the installation, the screen went black, but the install was continuing as I was able to still use my keyboard and mouse to navigate. It wasn’t until after I was done that I realized I was still able to view the screen through the hdmi on my television. Nevertheless, the screen was still black on my laptop. I must’ve spent 5 to 7hours trying to fix the problem to no avail.

Today I decided to reinstall it again and make note where the screen went black. It was right after the section asking for my phone number. I chose the do it later option and it took me to the next page to set up my One Drive. I was just about to click on something and the screen went black. I then plugged in my tv again and finished the setup.

I then tried a bunch of other ideas one using safe mode which I was actually able to view on my monitor. So I’m thinking it’s something in the settings not the hardware, but I have no idea where.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
