Windows 10: Black screen with an infinite loading cursor symbol that appears before an intended login...

Basically I started getting this problem two days ago. I did nearly everything I could to attempt to fix it. Here's what I tried:



I pressed F8 to get this startup repair thing, which ended up not working;



Tried to do a system restore but got some error saying it didn't work on all other restore points;



Tried all the safe modes, but still had the loading screen;



Tried all sorts of stuff on command prompt that I was told to do and read online, yet no luck;



And finally, I did a system reset where I retained my personal files. As for this, it told me to choose one of three accounts to reset, likewise the system restore: [account1], [account2] and [administrator]. Picked my account and even did the reset. Same problem came up, even when shutting it down to restart.



In this blank screen, I can't get any window or anything up.

Black screen with cursor after login

I've been experiencing a problem that doesn't seem to fit other similar descriptions. Specifically, the problem looks like this:

At login, after entering credentials, the spinning circle icon freezes slightly after several seconds. Then it loads into a black screen with only the cursor active. No keyboard shortcuts work (even ctrl+alt+del) and services such as task manager do not
appear. No right-clicking context menu appears either and I have confirmed that it is not an issue regarding multiple monitors (win+P does nothing).

I have been able to access safe mode, but another symptom arises where a restart from safe mode enters me into a black screen with no cursor or login. If I hard reset after this, I manage to get back to the login screen but there's a message indicating that
user name or password are incorrect (before being able to enter anything).

Something worth pointing out, I installed an update to my graphics driver a little before a crash that lead me into this situation. However, suspecting this was the issue, I've already uninstalled and reinstalled/updated the driver (from safe mode) but this
did not help.

Note, before suggesting resetting, I have faced other issues that forced me to perform windows reinstalls several times in the past, so any root cause will have to be recent. Let me know if there is any other information that can help.

 

win10 black screen and cursor but no password on acc still not loading


I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8 and not 8.1 with black screen and cursor I had no password so it should automatically load into account but it did not plus I tried ctrl key and enter plus all other key combinations but nothing and waited for half an hour. Please help all suggestions are welcomed!

P.S. I can see the cursor and the loading windows logo so no imbecile answers like graphic card driver or monitor driver for god sake

 

Windows 10 Black Spinning Circle with Cursor Pointer Before Login screen

I am in Windows 10 14393.2046 Build and during Boot I am Experiencing Black screen with a cursor and spinning circle ,having updated my Graphics Card Drivers Up to Date and Windows 10 1607 Cumulative Updates too.Since i didnt have any startup issues in
Windows 8.1 ,10240 as well as 10586 builds and i performed all troubleshooting steps and annoyed me.I can say that it is a windows issue and you have to sort it out ,only problem is

• Black Screen spinning Circle
• Login
