Windows 10: Black screen with cursor, after doing sfc \scannow

Solved-
On a different computer I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO file and burned on to a blank DVD.
I got into the BIOS to change the boot order to CD/DVD first, then inserted the dvd.
(you DO get the option to keep or delete your files)
The Repair option didn't work, but using a Restore Point did.
My files-documents, pictures etc WERE kept.

I read about using the command prompt to do "sfc/ scannow".

Let the scan happen and it ended with saying it had fixed a corrupted file and that the PC needed restarting.

So I restarted. But after the windows logo the screen turned black with just the cursor showing.

Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't do anything, no keys have done anything.

I fixed the issue by downloading the Windows 10 ISO on a different computer, burned it to DVD and used it to reboot my Win 10. - By first getting into the BIOS to change Boot order for DVD first.

None of the options in Troubleshoot or Advanced worked, but luckily using a Restore Point did.

If the cursor in the middle that is where you entered your password to get into windows 10
once entered press enter and that should allow you in.

Is your speaker symbol showing on task bar, if it has a red x then just click on it and should take you into sounds where you can alter it and get some sounds up
