Windows 10: Black screen with cursor issue only after using VR?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could give me insight for this issue, as I haven't found much info on it.

The issue first started when I plugged in my VR headset and the screen froze. I hard powered down using the physical button. When I turned on my computer again, everything worked fine until post-login, when my screen was black with only my mouse cursor showing. I ended up fixing this by updating the display adapters.

Fast forward to this weekend, I use my VR headset twice and the issue happens after both uses. And on both time, they were fixed differently. The first time was because I used a command to fix the scannow command and it restarted the computer. The second time is when the 'Let's finish setting up device' screen popped up and fixed the issue.

Sorry for all the text but my point is that the black screen with a cursor issue is related to my VR headset, and I haven't found a permanent fix for it. I would love to hear anyone else's insight on the problem and if there is a way for me to fix this. Thank you in advance!
