Windows 10: Black screen with cursor, nothing works.

    Black screen with cursor, nothing works.


    Don't know if this is the right sub to ask for help, but well, when I log in, my desktop doesn't load. Only my mouse is there. I'm on a Asus Ultrabook S46C.

    1. Task manager doesn't open in any way.
    2. FN + Esc + Power also don't work.
    3. I have Process Lasso installed, and he do start; the "please buy pro version" screen opens, but can't open browser when clicking to buy, I can only close the window.

    To clarify, this happened after I "forced reboot" after holding the power button (Windows had crashed so I had to).

    Can anyone help me? Thanks :')

    It is frozen or just black screen in Safe mode ?
    might try to repair Windows by an installation DVD or a USB stick

    • Were you able to get to the desktop screen after you restarted the system?
    • When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
    • Did you get any error code or error message?
