    Hello, I've been having this issue on my other laptop that I've been using for years about 2018-2019, My ASUS vivobook S has been experiencing this glitch in which the screen goes black after the manufacturer logo and the only thing you can use is the mouse cursor.What I attemptedAdvanced options startup repairrestarting, Worst case scenario, I'll have to resetThis should not be done.

    i have an asus laptop running windows 10. after the update i am getting the black screen with cursor. i have gone thru all the steps here to fix it regarding the display adapter including rolling it back and unnstalling it. it works for a few minutes,
    but always goes back to the black screen. has anyone found a permanent fix for this yet?
