Windows 10: Black screen

When I turn on my PC All I get after the Windows logo is a black screen. This is before I can enter my password. I tried logging in and out until I got the Checking System message. Every time I try to start the computer, the Windows logo appears and that black screen appears.I would appreciate any help to get my computer working again.
