Windows 10: Black SOD - Windows 11 - Dell g5 15

Hello everyone, After much research I can't find a solution...I have a Dell G5 15 last generation.I had a BSOD Driver overran stack buffer, which now turns out to be a Black Screen. A black screen and nothing else. The screen is on, the battery is working, the keyboard, fans, everything. But impossible to start the computer, nor to make it boot on a USB key with a Windows image because of this black screen. Everything is frozen on a black screen with the fans going really hard. Have any of you ever had this problem?

Hello Theo. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

If you cannot boot media then it may be a hardware problem which we do not handle here. If the PC is under warranty I'd contact the manufacturer's Support, or post in their forums, or at the best hardware forums Tom's Hardware here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/

But if the problem is not hardware then you should be able to get the media to boot one way or the other. Make sure you have created it properly using only the Media Creation tool, that it boots in another PC and queues up to the repair screen, to know it's good. If not create it over, use another flash stick.

It shows here how to create and boot the media (step 2-5), do all possible repairs leading up to if necessary creating a new Microsoft Account to replace yours, a Factory Reset or Clean Install:

dell g5 windows 11 not booting

Hi,

I have a Dell G5 laptop and it's on Windows 11.

Suddenly it is not booting, it is stuck on a black screen after Dell logo.

I tried turning it off three times to get into the repair screen but nothing come up. It just shows black screen after logo, no repair screen comes up.

I ran the Diagnosis check from BIOS and its saying everything is good, no hardware error.

I did hard reset suggest by this article: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/...urn-on-or-boot-into-windows#identify-symptoms I tried resetting BIOS to default values. No luck.

I also created a bootable windows media via my USB drive, boot the laptop via the external device option from BIOS, and after Dell logo, it tried to load bootable Windows but it stuck on a Windows logo and never load anything up.

I tried all the options from what I can see online. need help.
