Windows 10: Blacked out apps on Start

This whole week my laptop has been experiencing problems 1st my screen and taskbar always kept refreshing every 5-20 minutes and then now the Microsoft Store app has been blacked or blocked out. It looks like the picture I put below and it just happened right after I updated Windows and the taskbar and home screen refreshing might have been fixed this update because I have not seen it happening so far.

Endless black screen without anything but it is on

NEWLY added apps are not showing on Start App list

1. Is Cortana able to search the apps installed?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Type Start Settings in Search and hit
  Enter.
• Turn on Show recently added apps in jump list of Start of Taskbar.
