    blackmail email


    I have received an email purportedly telling me I'd been hacked and that all my personal info/passwords had been noted.

    I had also been filmed via my webcam "satisfying" myself ???

    I now apparantly, need to purchase bitcoin to the value of $800? and deposit it to the senders bitcoin wallet.

    ****.... is this possible?

    How can I tell if any of this is for real?

    Blackmailing emails

    hi

    Over the oast week i have recieved two almost identically worded emails from two different email addresses. Both are trying to blackmail me threatening to release pornographic videos of me to all my contacts. Im very confident they are spam because i have
    never visited pornographic websites and dont use my webcam in the way they describe!

    I have reported to the police but i want to stop them arriving into my inbox. Can i do this as they use different email addresses? What help can microsoft provide me please?

    hacker is trying to blackmail me.

    Change the Password for the email Account.

    We have no idea what email program you are using.

    Or go to the Police, as you say they are trying to blackmail you.

    Blackmailing emails

    Just keep moving them to your junk folder. Sometimes your email can end up on third party mailing lists that are compromised and shared with undersireable websites. Or, a friend or family members contact list with your contact information was compromised
    and became a part of that database.

    Just confidently ignore them and report them as junk or phishing scam.

    Depending on the mail client you are using, you can use keywords to block content that comes into your inbox.
