Windows 10: Blackscreen Crash, NO BSOD, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE 116

Hallo guys!I am currently experiencing crash after crash on my relatively new system.The Specs are as follows:MSI MAG B550 TomahawkAMD Ryzen 5 5600X32GB DDR4-RAM 2x16 Corsair Vengence RGBRTX3070 8GB, Asus ROG STRIXThe PC does still have warranty and is prebuild with the components I requested.I have already tried formating and reinstalling the whole OS+Drivers. VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116) or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) BSOD daily

GPU: RX580 8GB

OS: Windows 10 64 bit version 1709

GPU Driver version: Adrenalin 19.7.5

Display Devices: Viewsonic XG2402 144Hz HDMI

Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350M Bios version F10

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W

RAM: 8GB 2400MHz (1 stick)



Issue:

VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116) or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) BSOD (both caused by atikmdag.sys and atikmpag.sys) daily, it occurs randomly and oftentimes it doesn't even show a BSOD, my pc just suddenly freezes and restarts. Have
already tried DDU to reinstall GPU drivers and I tried various drivers. Have also run memtest x86 4/4 passes without any errors.

Is my PSU or GPU dying?

Random BSOD often, quickly recovers but sometimes crashes

Looking at your logfiles it is clear that all the black screens are due to the graphics card crashing and restarting, each time your system recovers and just occasionally it will actually crash with a BSOD 0x116 stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116).

Sometimes following the steps 24,25,26 will be all that is needed to fix this but in addition also make sure there is no build up of dust and reseat the graphics card just to make sure all the connections are good. Sometimes with older graphics cards you need to go back to an older graphics driver. This is trial and error unfortunately and would be the next steps to follow if you continue to get problems.

 

Bsod 116

Ran Hyper X for 2 days no problems. Put the green in, after about 12 hours of system running, it idled for awhile and then BSOD 116. I'm going to increase my ram voltage and also raise the minimum system idle speed to 20x.
