  1. Blackscreen/System breakdown problems keep happening

I bought a brand new DELL computer with windows 10 system. The BSOD problems keep happening actually it's like that all the things stuck in one-two seconds and I have to restart all the things by myself.

I've installed/updated all the drivers needed from the website but the things keep happening.

And when I turn to check the dump file there is no minidump or %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP. I disable the automatic restart and use the "automatic memory dmp".

I believe something wrong with the sound/graphic drivers but I can't figure it out.

    :)

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

  3. Issues with the booting of the system and blackscreen

    Hi,

I realize the inconvenience caused to you regarding the startup repair and the blackscreen. I will certainly assist you.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

    1. What is the exact error message or error code you are getting during the booting?

    2. Did you make any changes in the system settings prior to this issue?

I suggest you to run Startup repair from Advance boot option.

It may ask you to insert the Installation DVD/USB while doing startup repair.

If you don’t have an installation media, you have to create an installation media for that.

You may download an ISO from the below link:

    Download Windows 10

Once your media is ready follow the steps.

    • After you boot your computer using Windows 10 CD/ DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press any key.
    • Click on Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
    • Select Troubleshoot from Choose an option screen.
    • Click on Advanced options in Troubleshoot screen.
    • Click on Startup Repair from Advanced Options screen.
    • Next, choose the operating system by clicking on its button.
    • Windows 10 will look for problems on hard drive(s) and verify that all required files are intact.

Also refer the link on Troubleshoot black screen problems and check if it helps.

    Blackscreen/System breakdown problems keep happening

    laptop doesnt boot automatically

    This is what happened.

    1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
    2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
    3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
    4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
    5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
    6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

Many thanks to all members who helped to troubleshoot problems.
