Windows 10: Blank blue screen after Windows 10 recovery. What are my options?

I'm typing from a Linux computer. I made a USB Windows 10 recovery drive yesterday after the latest Windows updates. After competing the recovery on my Windows 10 laptop today, it shuttles me back to choose the keyboard layout I need. I went into the bios settings and made the hard drive #1 in the boot order and restarted. One of two things happen: I get a "No Boot Device" notification or a blank blue screen without text. How can I get past this and continue the recovery? If nothing will help at this time, could I download a Windows 10 ISO on my wife's Windows 10 laptop and use it in place of my recovery drive? My laptop shipped with Windows 10 OEM. Thanks.
