Windows 10: Blank icons on desktop

I downloaded a game on my computer and now some of my things look like this

ALL icons missing/blank (desktop, taskbar, explorer)

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Right click on the blank space on desktop.
• Click on View.
• Uncheck Align icons to grid.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
