Windows 10: Block Bluetooth Device Mac Address?

I have an irritating setup.I have a recent Acer Aspire Vero, which I got lat last year.It's a good machine and I adore it greatly.However, it is my first Windows 11 device.And I assume my issue is related to the newer OS.I also have an old soundbar connected to my TV, which has the option for Bluetooth.I don't use that function as it is connected to my TV via an optical cable.The issue is that it is impossible to completely dissable the soundbars Bluetooth, as it doesn't have any advanced controls for such things.And it is continually broadcasting its Bluetooth presence for any devices to comm

Change Mac address

The MAC address is like your devices ID ,so short of being able to change very core settings ,you're not gonna be able to do anything unless I'm mistaken.

Maybe you don't need to change your MAC address, what is it you're trying to accomplish?

Spoiler: I found this change mac w/o root I can't say whether or not this is an effective method it's just a method I found after searching this topic .
I cant say whether or not it is "safe" or if the software required is free. use at your own risk.

Change MAC Address of Android Devices without Root Access

Go to Settings>About Phone>Select Status and then make a note of the current MAC Address of your Android device.
Download the Android Terminal Emulator application from the Google Play Store. You can directly navigate to the Android Terminal Emulator Google Play Store download page by clicking here.
Launch the above application on your Android device and then type “IP LINK SHOW”.
Note the interface name of your Android device from the list.
And then type in the command below,
ip link set interfacename XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY
Replace interfacename with the Interface Name of your network that you noted in Step 4 above and XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY with the MAC Address you wish to set.
And that’s it. The MAC Address of your Android device will now be modified/changed.

I have an irritating setup.

It's a good machine and I adore it greatly.

However, it is my first Windows 11 device.

I also have an old soundbar connected to my TV, which has the option for Bluetooth.

The issue is that it is impossible to completely dissable the soundbars Bluetooth, as it doesn't have any advanced controls for such things.

And it is continually broadcasting its Bluetooth presence for any devices to communicate with.

All of my other Bluetooth capabile devices just ignore it, although do 'see' it when a scan for nearby devices is done.

This includes two older Windows 10 laptops I have used up until I got my new one.

However, my Acer Aspire Vero activates the soundbars Bluetooth connection every time Windows starts up.

This happens in all scenarios;

Cold boot, restart and waking from both hibernation and sleep.

As soon as Windows starts to initialize the laptops devices my soundbar switches to Bluetooth mode.

This is understandably irritating, especially if I am using the soundbar for what is on my TV screen.

As the soundbar is incapable of disabling its Bluetooth components...

Is there a way I can add the mac address that the soundbar has for the Bluetooth connection to a file in Windows to stop my laptop hijacking it every time I want to use my computer?

I know a little about the block list for network connections via the 'services.msc' file, but other than following some guides I don't fully understand what that does.

Could adding my soundbars Bluetooth mac to that file stop my laptop from trying to connect?

For the record I have tried disabling auto connect and some other settings, but Windows seems to ignore all of that and upon starting tries to connect to my soundbar regardless of what I turn off.

I don't want to have to keep turning Bluetooth off all the time if I can avoid it, because I do like the convenience of having the devices I do want to connect to my laptop automatically link as and when needed.

This is a very minor issue, but it is rather irritating.

Any advice would be appreciated.

How to get a MAC address for a smartphone?

I am trying to set up 'parental control' on an australian telstra router and it wants me to provide a mac address for every device I set up a block for.
One of those devices is a smartphone and it appears on the router listing with IP addresses only, no MAC address.
How can I get round this?
I tried to ask them but telstra keeps itself as far away from the customers as possible.
