Windows 10: Block popups on locked screen

How can I block popups e.g. Weather on the locked screen using Personalization settings? I turned off these settings but still see popups!

Kindly try the steps below and check if this helps in blocking popups on Internet Explorer.

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Click on Tools from top right corner.
• Select Internet Options and click on Privacy tab.
• At the bottom of the Privacy tab, you should have a Pop-up Blocker
  section. If you want pop-ups to be blocked, check the "Block pop-ups" option.

How do I get rid of "Trending in the NBA" from my lock screen

Most replies are about the windows start app. That was NOT my problem. This is what removed the lock screen popup altogether... First, disable Tips/suggestions on the Lock screen, an option in Windows.

• Go to Settings > Personalisation > Lock Screen.
  
• Uncheck “Get fun facts, tips, tricks and more on your Lock screen.“

Setting the timeout for Lock Screen

• Press Windows + I and select personalization.
  
• Select Lock screen.
  
  
• Select the Screen Timeout setting.
  
• Select the time of timeout you need and check.
