Windows 10: Block User on your account

To Whom May Concern,


I am having trouble with my wifi. It seems I have some one who is lagging onto my wifi connection.


Could someone help me understand how I can block this person from getting onto my router?


I have gone into windows defender and put a stop to all public internet by blocking neighborhood proximity sharing and still they seem to still get in. I have their Router name and ip address as well as the DNS server information. They use 2 DNS serviers.

If ther is anyway you can help me with this, I would truly appreciate it. I have windows 10 on my computer. I also keep up with all updates as well as automatic updates on windows 10.

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

   net user test /del

• Log in to Microsoft account | Your family using your Microsoft Email account.
• Find the user that is correspond to the computer account on the Windows that you are having issue with.
• Click on "App Restrictions".
• Under App Restrictions, click on "App list".
• Here, you can Allow or Block the Apps/Games that you want.

I can't rename my user account

  Are you using a Microsoft account or local account?
  

If you are using local account, I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the user name.

Please follow the steps to rename the user account in Windows 10.

a. In the search box, type user accounts and click on User Accounts.

b. Click on “Change your account name”

c. If it’s prompting for password please enter and click on Yes. If you do not have password click on Yes.

d. Enter the new user name.

e. Click on change name.
