Contact your system administrator to chat with a support agent and open a service request for this account. Or, sign in with a personal account to open a service request yourself. You can also search for answers in the community forums." How can I resolve this issue? For reference, the issue I intended to inquire about is as follows: I am currently trying to disable Virtualization-Based Security VBS on a laptop that is joined to

Join Teams for work or school meeting with personal Microsoft account

Microsoft Teams Insider Blog: As a part of ongoing work to improve the experience when joining Teams meetings, we have just made a new update available for Teams Insiders. In the first phase of rolling out this new functionality, you will get the new experience when joining a Teams for work or school meeting from within Teams free by tapping a Teams for work or school meeting link in a chat or community within Teams free. Your signed-in personal Microsoft account will be used when you join the meeting.

Windows 10 cant open discord because blocked

    Hi MarvelBros34,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Did you ask your brother what he did exactly to block Discord on your PC, so that you can try to reverse the steps he performed?

    2

Do you have a 3rd party anti-virus installed on your PC and if you do, have you checked in that software to see if Discord is blocked in there?

    3

    Open the Settings App.

    Go to Accounts.

Select Emails and Accounts, is there is a work or school Email listed there?

Select Access Work or School, is there is a work or school Email listed there?

  4. Blocked from Opening Service Request – Work or School Account Issue

Microsoft store was blocked on my personal (admin) account by school account, after removing said school account it is still blocked

Thank you very much for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm more than happy to assist you.

There are several steps you can take to resolve the issue. Here are some potential solutions:

    1. Check and Remove School Account

Ensure that the school account is completely removed from your system:

    • Open the Settings app.
    • Go to Accounts.
    • Select Emails and Accounts and check if the school email is listed there.
    • Select Access Work or School and ensure the school account is disconnected.

    2. Modify Group Policy Settings

Check if the Microsoft Store is blocked via Group Policy:

    • Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Store.
    • Double-click on Turn off the Store application and set it to Not Configured or Disabled.
    • Repeat the same steps under Computer Configuration.

    3. Modify Registry Settings

Ensure that the registry settings are not blocking the Microsoft Store:

    • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore.
    • If you see a value named RemoveWindowsStore, right-click on it and select Delete.

    4. Check AppLocker Rules

Ensure that AppLocker is not blocking the Microsoft Store:

    • Press Win + R, type secpol.msc, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to Application Control Policies > AppLocker > Packaged app Rules.
    • Look for any rules that deny access to the Microsoft Store and either delete them or change the action to Allow.

    5. Reset Microsoft Store

You can try resetting the Microsoft Store:

    • Open Settings.
    • Go to Apps > Apps & features.
    • Find Microsoft Store in the list, click on it, and select Advanced options.
    • Click on Reset.

    6. Use Command Prompt to Remove Policies

Run the following commands in an elevated Command Prompt to remove any policies that might be blocking the store:

After running these commands, restart your PC.

If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to contact your former school's IT department for further assistance, as they may have specific policies or settings that need to be adjusted.

By following these steps, you should be able to unblock the Microsoft Store on your personal account. If you decide to reset Windows, ensure you back up all important data before proceeding

Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance. I'm here to help!
