Windows 10: Blocking specific Windows Updates from being downloaded/installed

There have been several sets of Windows Updates lately that are causing issues with the functionality of some point of sales software that I provide support for, this software is called Micros RES 3700. I will spare you the specifics, in short, these updates are making changes to combase.dll and dboledb16.dll, which break certain programs on the application server related to database backups and maintenance. [Windows 10] hide/prohibit install of specific Windows Update

I have never intentionally used windows to provide my device drivers (except for older printers without Vendor drivers for clients). I only manually update from the vendor websites. Will just have to make a list of things to disable/remove if I finally decide to load it up on a machine.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Blocking an individual Windows Update

Hi, To prevent a specific Windows Update from installing, you can use the "Show or hide updates" troubleshooter package from Microsoft. Please also be aware that blocking updates may have an impact on the security and stability of your system, it's better to have the most recent updates installed
