    Blu-ray Drive seems to have been broken by recent update.


    Immediately following a windows 10 update i installed on the 28th of January, My BD drive stopped functioning properly.The drive will play a blu-ray disc, but after 30-40 seconds it will begin to stutter severely. From the drive i will hear a clicking sound, like the reader is seeking back and forth repeatedly several times per second. The movies playback will stutter. This will last for 30-40 seconds. Then the playback will continue normally for another 30-40 seconds when it will start to stutter again. This issue does not seem to occur with CD's or DVD's. only Blu-ray discs. I have tested se

    I have just built a HTPC and i am looking at adding a blu-ray ROM drive, what are some things to look out for when buying blu-ray drives and what drive would you suggest and why..

    I have to be honist the cheaper the better

    Hi,

    Did you get any error message when trying to use Blu-ray disc? Have you tried running your PC on a safe mode? Furthermore, it would be best that you contact your manufacturer for any recommendation of Blu-ray drives. This is to make sure that the Blu-ray
    drives will be compatible with your device.
