Windows 10: Blue arrows on the bottom left corner of file icon

I'm wondering what the blue arrows mean on my file icon.

Autoruns or ShellExView should tell you which application is adding that Overlay.

File has a black box in bottom left-corner and two blue arrows on top-right corner on other files.

I've eventually figured it out, I will show some steps if people are having the same issue.



To remove the two blue arrows, follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the file and select "Properties" at the bottom.

2. Go on the General tab if you're in the Shortcut tab. You should already be on General in another file type.

3. Click on "Advanced..." and it will send you to Advanced Attributes.

4. If "Compress contents to save disk space" is selected, then deselect it and select Okay.

5. Select Apply and close the tab, you shouldn't see the two blue arrows now.

To remove the black box, follow these steps:

Press the keys, Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and click on the power icon. Select Restart.

If the keys don't work, then just press the

key. Now, right-click on the power icon and select Restart.

After your computer restarts, check the file. It shouldn't show a black box now.

After clean install of Windows 10 build 10565 folders and files on the drives have Blue Arrows on icons. One solution I found is to disable - compression . Then one compromises with the disk space . How to get rid of these arrows? These arrows has no relation
with Norton in this build's scenario. Build has this bug.
