So this is a rather complicated question as I've been working on this on/off for months. I will try to simplify it but I have already tried multiple repair methods. I am aware that at this point I should just get a new computer but part of me wants my first build to live on and I'm also very curious what happened to it. This computer is roughly 8 or 9 years old with some parts being newer like the ram sticks of only 2 or 3 years old.The strange part is that I played games, cleaned the pc, then failure all in one day. I do not recall for sure whether the pc worked for an hour to game after clea

  3. Blue screen issue.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

We need you to provide the blue screen log (minidump) to analyze your problem.

To find the minidump file in Windows, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open File Explorer by pressing the Windows key + E.
    2. Navigate to the following location: C:\Windows\Minidump (replace C with the drive where Windows is installed if it is different).
    3. If you cannot find the Minidump folder at the specified location, it might be hidden. To show hidden files and folders, click on the "View" tab in the File Explorer, and check the "Hidden items" option.
    4. If the Minidump folder is still not present, it might be because your system is not configured to create Minidump files. To enable this feature, follow these steps:
      • Press the Windows key + X and select "System".
      • Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left-hand side.
      • In the System Properties window, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on the "Settings" button under the "Startup and Recovery" section.
      • In the Startup and Recovery window, make sure that the "Write debugging information" drop-down menu is set to "Small memory dump (256 KB)" or "Kernel memory dump".
      • Click "OK" to save the changes.
      • Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
    5. Once you have located the Minidump folder, you will find the Minidump files inside it. These files have the .dmp extension and are named with a combination of date and time.
Note: Minidump files are created when your system encounters a blue screen of death (BSOD) or a crash. If you have not experienced any crashes, the Minidump folder may be empty.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards

Blue screen errors while gaming - random errors

Prohdgaming, if it is RAM we cannot say with minidumps, the only thing they may show is whether it is caused by memory corruption or not, but why memory corruption occured is another stadium of analysis.

Memory corruption has a wide range of causes, please read the quote.
Even though in many cases there are signs of specific components they are also often not present what is the issue with dumps, we cannot say if something is really THE cause until it is tested. Even when we analyze a dump as best as we can it can turn out to be something else, it is something I've had a few weeks ago where all signs were pointing to the hard drive but another component turned out to be faulty and the cause.
