I tried to Updates again but got this..

There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

    • 2017-10 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4049179) - Error 0x800706be
    • Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4051613) - Error 0x800706ba

Seemed like they download.. installed to 45% then Retry..

So there were drive problems detected.
The drive files should be backed up.
An image should be created using Macrium or Acronis.
Update the image monthly or weekly depending on how frequently you create important files.
Then you have several layers of protection.
The drive could last many years or it could fail unexpectedly. The findings serve as warnings or advanced notice that the drive should be monitored over time.

Perform another in place upgrade repair to see if it fixes the sfc /scannow problem.

If there are any new BSOD please post a zip:
BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums

When the 2nd in place upgrade repair has completed please check to see that the bios and all drivers are up to date.

Would the Update problems relate to a disk problem ?

Yes I do back up due to many 'near suicidal' moments over the years and do a weekly image with Acronis for the primary C disk.

I will watch the drives as they are both from 2011, so they have had a good go. Will maybe replace them if Santa is good to me. Slowly doing this on other boxes too.

I will do an image tonight then do the In Place upgrade and report back with the results in a day or two.

I really do appreciate the time and experience you have given me during this time.

I have sent you a PM too.

    Thanks a lot.

    You are very welcome.

That will be interesting to see what happens with the 2nd in place upgrade repair and the sfc /scannow.

You've got good drive habits. Most are not yet making images. The images should keep you safe.

    Hi.

Sorry to be the stalker but..

I did the 2nd In Place Repair which went without problem. I am on Win 10 Pro 1709 Build 16299.19

Also did sfc /scannow on the primary o/s c: disk which gave the same error as before.

The 3 dism scripts ran and the log is here Dropbox - dism.log

The only Win 10 problem I see is I cannot access mosty of the Admin links from the right click start menu such as Dev Mgr, Disk Mgmt, Event viewer. etc.

I sometimes get the Red/Black panel 'Admin has stopped me from acces to mmc.exe'

Not sure if they are related to the BSod problem and if I need to go to another area to try and fix these.

    Thanks again

The problem with the sfc /scannow displaying that it found corruption that it was unable to fix had information in the CBS log as per an earlier post.
After the recent in place upgrade repairs only the dism log was posted and it did not have the restorehealth command used.
This was the only significant error seen with the scanhealth command: Failed to load the provider: C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Temp\03DFA5A7-459A-43F2-B127-6CD0B946087E\EmbeddedProvider.dll. - CDISMProviderStore::Internal_GetProvider(hr:0x8007007e)

For further evaluation of the sfc /scannow displaying that it found corruption please post the CBS log.
Please run the dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth command and then run the sfc /scannow and then post the cbs log.

If the computer files are backed up another option is performing a clean install.
There may be problems in the registry that the in place upgrade repair was unable to fix which may be possible with a clean install.
