Windows 10: Blue Screen during installation of 1809 or after installing 1809 if Samsung SD Card is...

I receive the following error if I try to install 1809 update with my Samsung SD card connected or if I insert SD card after installing 1809. The SD card in question is the Samsung 128GB EVO Plus. My laptop runs without issue with the SD card connected using 1803, so I don't understand what changed in 1809 that is now causing this problem. All of the drivers for my Yoga 900 have been updated and I don't want to lose 128GB of additional storage in order to update to 1809.


Currenrly back on 1803 and I have run both SFC and DISM which do not show any issues. Lately I have found installing any major Windows update to be a huge pain, so any suggestions to my issue are welcome.

Windows 1809 Started the install on Surface Pro 4 but it stopped and the update screen closed by itself.

It started the download of 1809 and I walked away. Came back twenty minutes later and the update page was no longer open. Tried update again and it said it's updated.

It didn't complete the update or state the RESTART NOW.

Update history lists 1809 and states RESTART REQUIRED but since it didn't complete the install restarting does nothing.

So it thinks it's installed the 1809 update but it hasn't. It won't download 1809 again.

ABOUT say's it is 1803.

Suggestions?

 

Installing vista on an SD card...

I am interested in installing vista on to a SD/XD Card. Is there a way to do this? I imagine I could significantly increase my battery life of my laptop by running windows off of the hard drive.

INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR resuming from sleep on 1809

Yes, I have 2 Samsung NVMe SSD 960s installed. The NVMe driver was 2.3.0.1709 and I just updated it to 3.0.0.1802.

Since I wasn't getting anywhere with this problem, I already reverted from 1809 back to 1803 and have had no sleep problems since. So it definitely seems to be related to 1809.

I'm reluctant to re-install 1809 yet to test if this fixes the sleep problem. I think maybe I'll wait awhile for any other 1809 weirdness to shake out.
