  1. Blue screen error message trying to log into Windows 11

-Hi,Since I updated my laptop to Windows 11 the laptop crashes when I leave it alone for long periods of time, open the lid, and try to get to the log in screen. What I find strange is that it doesn't always crash. There can be day or two when it doesn't. The laptop has not crashed while I use it but only after it hasn't been used for several hours and I need to log back in. When the laptop does crash the problem indicated is with file "intoOED.sys." Usually restarting the laptop afterward. After restarting I can log in as normal with no trouble.I went looking to see if anyone else enc

  3. Blue Screen

Yes I have Blue coat K9 Web Protection.

Error log says: [2018-02-11 08:53:12] ERR: CheckForTampering: Body checksum failed.[2018-02-11 08:53:12] ERR: OpenLog: Unable to open main log error (8450), trying to recover

Would the error log message cause the blue screen error?

    K9 recommendation:

    Issue

K9 is causing Blue Screens or Interrupted internet access because of a conflict with the latest update to Avast.

    Answer

In order to configure Avast so that it works with K9, you need to perform the following steps:

    Go to the Avast Console.

    • Turn off Web Shield.
You may need to wait a minute for the setting to take effect, but it should resolve your issue. This should be the configuration that Avast needs to be able to work with K9 with no problems.

This is not a K9 issue but is an issue resulting from the latest update to Avast. Please contact Avast to inform them of the conflict as there is nothing we can do at this time.
