    Blue screen error when restarting my pc.


    Hi all, i recently upgraded my CPU. now every time i restart my pc, it hangs on the “restart” screen for a few seconds, then shows a blue screen that says DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE. I can’t seem to find anything online that works. my PC is set to never sleep or turn display off.

    specs: R7 3800X, RTX 2070, 24GB ram.

    Hi Jon,

    Startup blue screen error(s) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device software drivers
    • Corrupted Windows update system files
    • Software/Security conflicts
