Windows 10: Blue Screen Errors as a Result of Registry Changes

My problem started when I decided to add a new key to the Intel Registry. I never made a backup of the registry and I thought deleting the key would solve my issue, but I was wrong. Every time my system boots I receive a blue screen error as follows: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. I have tried SFC, disc check, and windows clean install. I also reinstalled the driver which I thought might be causing the issue. I have inspected the bug check provided by my system and was able to deduce that the problem has something to do with \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\ACPI.sys.The issue resulted from a

Before we proceed I would like you to answer the following question:

• 
  What is the make and model of your computer?
  
• 
  Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
  

The issue might occur due to Viruses, or something changing/deleting in Registry Files, a failure during Bootup, or a corrupt file which could be due to age of a computer or viruses or somebody tampering with files.

Blue Screen error with Bad_System_Config_Info after an upgrade

I appreciate the efforts take by you in resolving the issue. I understand that after an upgrade you are receive Blue Screen error on the computer with Bad_System_Config_Info. I’ll help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• May I know the update that was installed on the computer recently?
  
• What is the complete model number of the computer that you are using?
  

The “Bad_System_Config_Info” error means that something is wrong with the registry on your PC and you'll need to return to a previous configuration. I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the article

Error 0x74: Bad_system_config_info and see if that helps.



Note: The last step in the above article talks about performing a reset on the computer. Resetting the computer will delete all the files and applications from the computer. Do not perform reset on your computer.
