Windows 10: Blue screen of Death HP 840 G4/G5/G6

Buongiorno,stiamo riscontrando il problema dell’arresto imprevisto di Windows che fa scaturire la schermata blu su diversi pc con codice di errore IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.Tutti i dispositivi sulla quale si sta verificando il problema sono HP 840 G4, G5 e G6 .Abbiamo già:-Fatto tutti gli aggiornamenti da Windows update-Aggiornato tutti i driver sia tramite Windows che tramite HP Support Assistant-Abbiamo in uso Windows 20H2 , su uno abbiamo tentato l’upgrade a 21H1 ma il problema continuava a verificarsi su un device era in uso anche una versione 1903.-Usato comandi da CMD SFC /scannow e

How to disable trackpad for HP Elitebook 840 G5

As the question states, I am simply trying to disable my touchpad on my HP laptop. So I think this is very specific for the HP Elitebook 840 G5 as I have tried the following generic methods to disable the trackpad:

1. Under mouse settings, using the Synaptics tab. This tab does not exist for me. (Reference https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03882926)
   
2. Disabling the Synaptics driver. I thought this would work for sure too but I tried to disable all of the mouse drivers available under Mice and other pointing devices (Device Manager) and the trackpad still works.
   
3. Using third party software. I tried "touchpad-blocker" and even when enabled, the touchpad still works.
   
4. Double tapping the top left corner (how do i disable a touchpad on an hp elitebook 850 laptop? - HP Support Community - 5480918) This does nothing for mine.
   

I am open for other suggestions. I am really surprised that disabling the driver didn't work.

 

Windows 10 Version 1809 - KB4530715 - HP EliteBook 840 G5 and G6 stuck on spinning dots

We have several HP EliteBook's 840 G5 and G6 that get stuck on the spinning dots after installing Windows updates. They are running Windows 10 x64 - 1809 and the last time it happens was after installing the "2019-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version
1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4530715)".



We only see this behavior on systems running Windows 10 Version 1809, the ones that are on 1803 don't have this issue.



We are deploying the updates via SCCM and in the logs we see that the update installed correctly, but after a reboot they get stuck on the spinning dots screen. The only way to recover is to boot in Safe Mode and then the last installed update is removed automaticly.
Afterwards we can install the same update without any issue.

Anyone experienced the same issue?

update: the issue is not related to a specific update, because today we see the same issue with the 2020-01 cumulative update (KB4534273).

 

new HP 840 G5 will NOT enter sleep mode v 1709

New HP 840 G5 has all the latest drivers, BIOS, and WinX updates for v 1709 WinX Pro. It is set to only download security updates. Kaspersky is always on, Defender does Periodic Scanning-

It will NOT enter sleep mode, have checked Power Options, etc.

Checked with CMD and it indicates that the firmware will not allow S1 or S2, but will allow S3
