Blue Screen, SSD can't be recognized in BIOS or Disk Management, Can't fix BCD, Can't...

    Hello!

Yesterday I was playing a video game when out of nowhere, with zero other processes running, I got a blue screen that said my PC needed to be repaired. I was using the OS installed on my Samsung SSD which is my C: drive, but the game I was playing on was installed on my HDD which is my D: drive. The game was not in the middle of saving or anything, which I assume means it shouldn't have been writing any data into my C: drive user folders (app data, etc), or anything else.

I rebooted, but it was unable to detect the OS installed on the C: drive. I still had the OS installed on the D: drive as it was my primary drive before purchasing the SSD. I went into Disk Management and could not find my SSD there. I rebooted into BIOS, and didn't see it there either. I inserted the USB drive my Windows 10 OS came on so that I could access the command prompt window, and tried the chkdsk process as well as the bootrec process. It was unable to find /boot/ , there was an I/O error, and when I attempted to repair the Windows installation it said the drive was locked.

I did make sure to have my HDD unplugged during these steps so that it wouldn't confuse the different OS's and such. I unplugged the SSD from the mobo and left the computer off overnight, also unplugged. I'm not sure what else to try. Any help would be appreciated!

    :)

    My 6 t Western Digital WD6003FZBX is seen as a 6 t by UEFI Bios but only 1.5 t by Windows 7.

Also, when the HD is plug on an external USB adaptor, Windows sees it as a 6 t and formats it accordingly. When the HD is reinserted in the computer, Windows reports it as a 6 t but in the Disc Manager, the stripe that shows the disc regions of the 6 t
is shorter than my 4 t and seems to correspond approximately to 1.5 t. The true problem is that eventually, the disc disappears and returns to a 1.5 t uninitialized status. Do you have an idea?

  3. Volume Mute Light won´t change color

Before I follow your suggestions, a quick update: as the updating didn´t seem to work I stopped trying and just left it alone for awhile. About a half hour later I looked over and saw that the mute light was now blue. I tried the button but it and the volume buttons did not work at all. On the screen I was told that I needed to reboot, which I did and now the system has returned back to the way it was before: everything works except that the mute light does not change to blue as it should when the speakers are not muted. WTF?

    Display shows a T

Thanks for your reply. A reset has fixed the issue! It must have been some sort of display artefact.

Except for this annoying "T", I could use Contacts functionality normally, eg scrolling down all contacts, clicking any letter to go to contacts starting with that letter.

When I first went into the Contacts listing screen the display showed those contacts beginning with a number, as per normal functionality.

When I selected a contact to see their details the T went away, only to come back again when I returned to the Contacts listing screen.

But the reset has cleared it. Once again many thanks.
