Windows 10: blue screen stop code reference by pointer

    blue screen stop code reference by pointer


    I keep seeing blue screen in every 15 to 30 mins. It's brand new laptop and I havent even installed many applications. Tried to reach out Dell customer care and they suggested it must be something to do with windows as there hardware diagnosis looks perfect. Removed the anti-virus as well per suggestion from Microsoft support but no success in resolving the issue.Tried chkdsk and there seems no issue with the harddisk. No error got returned.

    Hi,

    I have encountered this error twice now.

    Stop Code: Reference by Pointer.

    What does it mean and whats its causes? It definitely happened after i updated my Win 10. Looked all over online but not really found a solution to this problem.

    PC specs just in case:

    Win 10 Pro, 64 bit

    i5-6200U 2.4

    8 GB RAM

    Nvidia Geforce 940M
