Windows 10: Blue screen - VIDEO TDR FAILURE atikmpag.sys / unable to login via Safe Mode screen

Hello,I’m about ready to pull my hair out. On a HP laptop 15-ba052au.I am having the same issue as this thread here, BUT:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/video-tdr-failure-atikmpagsys/6742a34e-b762-4075-8fae-16ea63d72b27The only way I am able to get to Safe Mode is, via the blue screen, to go to Advanced > Startup Options, and then hitting number 4 to get to Safe Mode. If I hit 5 Safe Mode with Networking I do not see any internet.Anyhow, once I get to the safe mode login screen, I get the “your PIN is inaccessible” and the only option is to type in my password. Blue Screen - Video TDR Failure

Hello

I have had 2 blue screen system failures this morning. Both of them with the message Video TDR Failure. The message advised me to contact support and quote igdkmd64.sys.

The system was installing Windows Updates at the time so that is my prime suspicion. The update that was successfully installed was Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics. It appears twice at the top of the list of updates for some reason.

 

Blue screen: Video TDR failure nvlddmkm.sys

Hi,

As my Windows 11 22H2 didn't complete the Update, as some drivers were outdated, I updated several of them through the device manager.

Now I get every 5 to 10 minutes a blue screen mentioning either "Video TDR failure nvlddmkm.sys" or "driver power state failure".

How to recover and update to Windows11 22H2 in a second step?

Video TDR Failure

Hi,

I hope somebody could help. I'm receiving the BSOD with Video TDR Failure atikmpag.sys problem when booting the laptop. I've got blue marks that change all over the boot screen. I can't get into safe mode either. I did update my graphics driver a few days
ago but I've got no idea how to fix the issue as I'm unable to get in.

Please could somebody suggest what I can do to fix this and get into my laptop.
