Windows 10: Blue Screen

Hello, I got a Blue Screen.


I'm just sitting there, quietly listening to music, when the screen suddenly goes blue and the audio growls and hisses and sounds like it's going to come apart. Very unnerving. This has happened before, a couple of times, but not for the past month or so. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on Jan. 8, 2020.


The following was the wording on the blue screen:


"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some info., and then we'll restart for you. For more information about this issue, and possible fixes,visit windows.com/stopcode. If you call a support person, give them this info....stopcode: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK FAILURE."


15 minutes later it had finally advanced to 100% complete, but of course it didn't restart.


I waited another 15 minutes,but it still didn't restart, so I shut it down and restarted manually. When I was back in business I came to the community to ask this question: What is going on, and how do I fix it? I went to windows.com/stopcode, but nothing there seemed relevant. But what do I know? Not much I guess. Somehow I get the impression that it's a common complaint. Has anyone got any positive remedy?

Startup Blue Screen

Hi Jon,

Startup blue screen error(s) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It could be due to the following:

• Outdated device software drivers
• Corrupted Windows update system files
• Software/Security conflicts

We would like to know some information:

• Did you get any blue screen stop error codes?
• Have you tried booting in Safe mode?

Blue Screen of Deaths on a Daily

I have tried all of the options there, Which is why i included in my post the lists of things that i performed to isolate the cause of bsod. Thanks
