Windows 10: Blue screen

    Following an up date about April 12 my PC will not start.

    all I get is a blue screen stating PC has. Problem, your Pc did not start correctly. Next screen offers a troubleshoot option. On that screen are other options including, restore, reset and keep your personal files.

    Another option is enter recovery key.

    Both these options accept my recovery key, it then asks for a password.

    In both cases I have tried my pc start up password and my microsoft account password. It will not accept either.

    1 what password is it referring too.

    2 what else can I do.

    Any advise would be welcome given I am without my PC during lockdown and cannot get help.

    • Did you install any hardware or driver recently?

    Startup Blue Screen

    Hi Jon,

    Startup blue screen error(s) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device software drivers
    • Corrupted Windows update system files
    • Software/Security conflicts

    We would like to know some information:

    • Did you get any blue screen stop error codes?
    • Have you tried booting in Safe mode?
