Windows 10: blue screens

Started getting blue screens like kernal and system service exceptions. They got so numerous that the computer would shut down without ever loading fully. My solution was to buy a new Win 10 and new SSD and install them after removing the 2 hard drives I had. My question is can I reconnect the old drives or are they goners ? I have a lot of stuff on those 2 drives that I cannot replace.
