Windows 10: Blue Snowball Ice Microphone Not Detected

Hi, I recently purchased a new Blue Snowball Ice Microphone and have been trying to set it up for a while now. When I plug in the USB cable into both my laptop and the mic, then head over to control panel as the instructions say, the microphone is nowhere to be found. How can I fix this? Also thank you in advance.

Blue Snowball iCE Microphone not working

Hi all,

I just got a Blue Snowball iCE and it is not working. I followed all published help document around the web and still no luck.

I have:

• Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver
• Tried different USB Ports
• Making sure my Microphone Privacy Settings were set to on
• Trying it on another Windows 10 Computer and following all of the above

I think its broke but I am reaching out to the community to see if there is anything else I can do to get it to work.

Any Suggestions on how to get it to work?

I am running Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134. If more info is needed let me know.

Blue Snowball iCE microphone not registering

I have a Blue Snowball iCE mic (a plug and play microphone) that worked fine unti I unplugged it to move my laptop. I plugged it back in and windows didn't notice. The light's off, it doesn't show up in the list of recording devices, and I can't find the
driver in Device Manager.

I have tried:

1. Uninstalling the "USB Composite Device" drivers in Device Manager and re-connecting the device.
2. Using Device Manager to search for updated drivers on said devices listed
3. Setting Privacy settings to allow apps to access my microphone
4. Device troubleshooter, hardware troubleshooter, recording troubleshooter, sound troubleshooter (basically every troubleshooter I could find)

I've been googling for days and none of the solutions I've found have worked. Can anyone help me?

Hi, Jordan,

1. Right click on Start > Select Device Manager

Uninstall driver

Reboot

Plug the microphone in to determine if it is now detected.

2. Start > Type Control Panel > Press Enter

Click on Sound

Click on Recording Tab

Right click Empty Space > Select Show Disabled Devices

Right click > Disable all audio devices

Reboot PC

Plug in the Microphone - verify it has been detected

Go back to Sound > Recording

Right click on Blue Ice > Select Default
