    Bluescreen on start-up (blackbox)

Hi, on multiple installs (1. reset while keeping personal files 2. reset while not keeping personal files 3. clean install) I have encountered these bluescreens. I know they're bluescreens due to the eventviewer.

I'm not 100% sure what is causing them and why.

I can say that regarding the first boot of the day, this error occurred at 09:34:49:

The previous system shutdown at 01:15:49 on ‎11/‎08/‎2018 was unexpected.

The shutdown went smoothly to my knowledge - I clicked shutdown, and it shut down. Why it would be considered unexpected, I'm not sure. I do tend to leave some applications open though such as Chrome (it will re-open the multiple windows + tabs which is super convenient).

Next up on the list is this critical error, this occurred at 09:35:45 (earlier than the time above for some reason)

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Then this error occurs at 09:35:04:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000139 (0x0000000000000003, 0xffff8007621e1590, 0xffff8007621e14e8, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 2ce53aa3-dd42-4f3b-ba11-1832dbd6ea13.

I have the contents of MEMORY.DMP. I used WinDbg for this.

Within the Application logs (the above was under System), I do have a Windows Error Reporting information log. I have two, one at 09:35:08 and the other at 09:35:10. I believe both are the same so I will only show the latter.

The other files listed that are temporary cannot be found. I suppose they were removed by the system as they were temporary.

I notice a couple of Focusrite errors. I do have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. Phantom power can either be on or off, it doesn't make a difference with the crashes. I can have boots which are smooth too... albeit a bit less common. I haven't had this issue for the past 3 or 4 days since the clean install and then it started again. I've installed nothing within the last few days (some windows updates but that's all) that could have triggered the crashes.

Does anyone know more information regarding these crashes? Clearly something is wrong if a clean install doesn't fix it.

    :)

bluescreen error message wont allow access to desktop

    Hi David,

To know what kind of troubleshooting steps would be applicable to your bluescreen error, please answer these questions:

    • What is the exact error message showing on your end?
    • Were there any changes/updates to your device prior to the issue?
    • Any troubleshooting steps you've done so far to resolve the issue?

For now, you can have a look at the troubleshooting step on this link as an initial remedy to the bluescreen
    error you're receiving.

We'll be waiting for your updates.

    bluescreen

We appreciate your reply. Since you mentioned that after using the Avast driver updater the issue started, we suggest that you rollback the drivers that you've updated and see if there will be any changes. To rollback the driver, you may follow the steps
    below:

    • Press Windows + R on the desktop screen.
    • Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    • Expand the category you want and right click on the driver and select properties.
    • Navigate to driver tab and click on
      RollBack driver.

    Let us know the results.

  4. Bluescreen on start-up (blackbox)

EVGA GTX 2xx series Reinbursement Service

XFX started it and Evga is doing the same. Evga is starting its own reinbursement program for those who bought the Evga 2xx series when they first came out. All you have to do is follow a few steps.

    • Must be a new purchase from an authorized EVGA reseller. Step-ups do not qualify.
    • You have 14 days to register and upload a qualified invoice to claim your EVGA Bucks.
    • Only customers who purhased the EVGA GTX 280 or GTX 260 at the full Manufactured Suggested Reatil Price (MSRP) will qualify for the Reimbursement Program.
    • If between June 16th and July 7th you purchased an:
    • EVGA GTX 260 you will receive $75.00 in EVGA Bucks* or $60.00 Cash Back
    • EVGA GTX 280 you will receive $150.00 in EVGA Bucks* or $125.00 Cash Back
The only thing this doesn't cover is the Step-up program. I'm fine with that because I got the price cut anyway. I just hope to get the card by this weekend if not early next week. I have a itch to bench. *Rockout :rockout:
