  1. BlueScreen when shutting down a VMWare Workstation OS

Consistently receiving a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION bluescreen when shutting down a vmware workstation OS (in this case a windows 7 OS).

Was running on VMWare workstation 10, upgraded to 11 but am still experiencing this behaviour.

Side effect of this is that the virtual machine will get destroyed and is not rebootable on a restart, I have to revert to a complete backup of the virtual machine.

Attached the dump file generated by the tool?

    Any suggestions?

    :)

AT&T VPN client does not work with Internet Sharing on Windows Mobile 6

Hi...I managed to resolve the issue.

I had vmware workstation installed on the Laptop. This vmware workstation had vmnet (virtual network adapters) which uses the same subnet of IP which HTC was assigning to my laptop when internet sharing was turned on.

I disabled the vmware virtual adapters and issue was resolved...I was able to browse and connect through AT&T VPN client as well.

BlueScreen when shutting down a VMWare Workstation OS

There's only 1 memory dump in the attached reports. If you're using a disk cleaner (such as CCleaner) please stop while we're troubleshooting.

Are these reports from within the VM - or are they from the system that's running the VM's?
We need the reports from the OS that's actually having the BSOD.

You have 5 or 6 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

You don't have drivers installed for these devices:
The first 2 are most likely part of the chipset drivers for your motherboard. The last one is an Atheros Ethernet driver. Please install these ASAP.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
I've also seen issues with the Plex Media Server drivers - but not enough to state that they are to blame here.

You have both Virtual Box and VMWare running at the same time - I have to wonder if they are conflicting. I do see a lot of issues with Win8.1 systems when both are running - so I suspect that the same will be true with Win10. Please uninstall one of them to see if that helps.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
