Windows 10: Bluetooth Absent from Devices Manager, Toggle Missing

I'm on an HP ENVY Desktop - 750-524, serial number 4CE7021PCP

The On/Off toggle in the Bluetooth settings and the Action Center is gone.

Bluetooth is not showing up in Device Manager, even when I select "Show hidden devices". It was there previously, but I followed the advice from other support threads to uninstall Bluetooth drivers from Device Manager & restart the computer. When I did so, Bluetooth did not automatically reinstall. Even after manually reinstalling Bluetooth drivers from Intel's website, Bluetooth has not shown up in Device Manager.


When I troubleshoot Bluetooth, I'm given the following error message:


Device does not have Bluetooth

Bluetooth is not available on this device. Please try using an external adapter to add Bluetooth capability to this computer.


I was given this error before uninstalling & reinstalling the driver as well.

Bluetooth was available on the same device before, so I'm not sure why I'm being told it's not available.


I tried manually adding Bluetooth to Device Manager through the "Add legacy hardware" option in the Actions dropdown, but I'm told that "the wizard did not find any new hardware on your computer", and IntelR Bluetooth didn't show up under Intel, Intel Corporation, or Microsoft.


I've also checked services.msc. Bluetooth Support Service is already running, and startup type is already set to "Automatic".


My computer is already completely up to date for updates, and I don't have a USB Bluetooth adapter.

Bluetooth Toggle Missing from settings

I assume you mean the Bluetooth option in the first is missing, and the bluetooth tile is missing.

Example solved case (sounds similar): completely uninstall BT and reinstall:
Bluetooth on off switch missing.

Have a look at the driver in the Device Manager- has it just been updated (would be in Update History too - at the bottom).
Consider rolling the driver back: e.g.

Consider using the driver specified by your manufacturer rather than the one provided by Windows, as suggested here:

You can then prevent that driver being updated using the appropriate tutorial from the Tutorial section.

You have given no details of your PC unfortunately.

 

Can't Find Bluetooth on device manager.

Bluetooth Toggle Missing

For a while now my Bluetooth toggle has been missing.

It always stays off for a few days and then turns back on, whenever I go to Device Manager and check the events for "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" it says "Device deleted"

Does anyone know a PERMANENT fix for this? I've tried LITERALLY everything.
