Windows 10: Bluetooth adapter similar to headphoone connected but not on Sound Settings > Output list...

Greetings!I have a Bluetooth adapter that functions in the manner of a set of headphones. The adapter connects to the computer in the same way as headphones. Recently the adapter device stopped showing up on the Sound Settings > Output list. The adapter is definitely connected and paired correctly. It is on the Bluetooth devices list and beeps when the computer is turned on, off, or restarted. It also beeps when it is disconnected and reconnected. I paired and re-paired it to avail. I have run troubleshooters and other various tests and nothing helps.The adapter used to work this fully upda

Bluetooth Device Connected But Doesn't Appear As Audio Output

I have a Insignia NS-SB216 soundbar. This morning it was connected and working fine. Then for whatever reason my PC crashed and I had to restart. Now the soundbar is connected but it doesn't appear as a sound output device so I have no sound. How can it
be connected but not be selectable as an output? Instead I have "streaming microphones" and the monitor listed (the latter doesn't even have speakers). I have turned Bluetooth off and on and removed the device completely and reconnected. It's still connected
but no matter what I do it will not be listed as an output device. Now I have no sound due to a random crash.

 

Can't select paired bluetooth speaker as sound output (Windows 10)

I just got a new bluetooth speaker, an Urbanears Stammen (concrete grey)

I can connect to it from my phone, using Bluetooth, and play back sound no problem. But I can't get my Windows 10 laptop (Dell XPS 15) to use it as a playback device.

I can connect and pair to it no problem, as you see in the screenshot below





It also shows up under bluetooth in the device manager. It's not listed under "Audio inputs and outputs", which I thought it should be, but I can see it under "Sound, video and game controllers".





But I can't select it as a playback device

And I tried the suggested steps listed there, but nothing helped

Any further ideas I could try?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

If you’re connecting an optical cable the settings would be changed so try the following steps

Two options:

1. Use the optical S/PDIF output of your motherboard.

2. Use the HDMI output of your GPU. (This is what I'd recommend if you're using a HDMI display).

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Go to control panel.

  Select sound.
  
• 
  Click on playback devices.
  

For option 1- connect the cable and set the 'Realtek digital output' as default device.

  Then right click on it.
  
• 
  Go to properties.
  
• 
  At the rightmost tab select DTS or Dolby Digital or 5.1.
  

For option 2-connect the HDMI cable through the receiver and set the 'Nvidia HDMI Output' as your default device. Then click 'Configure' and select 5.1 and check if it helps.

If the issue persist then, I suggest you to connect the speakers directly and check in the realtek audio manager if he gets the 5.1 option or not using the SPDIF\output.
