Windows 10: BLUETOOTH AND TOUCH SCREEN FEATURE NOT WORKING

Today, the Bluetooth and touch screen feature in my laptop has suddenly stopped working. - It started when the Bluetooth icon has disappeared, and even when I've attempted to access the settings, the option to turn Bluetooth on or off is missing.- Despite restarting my laptop, the issue persisted. I attempted to resolve it by installing Bluetooth drivers and restarting Bluetooth support services, as suggested by others, but to no avail. - Furthermore, the touch screen feature is also non-functional, adding to my frustration. Finding solutions for both problems has been challenging, complicatin

Were you able to see if your driver is up to date?

We suggest to update the touch screen driver and check for resolution.

Follow the steps provided:

• Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices.
• Locate the Touch screen driver.
• Right-click on the driver icon and click on Update Driver Software.
• Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touch screen driver.

 

Touch screen is disabled

This issue might be due to drivers which are to be updated.



I suggest you to update the drivers for touch feature in Device Manager:

Steps:

• Right click on Windows key from the desktop and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices, right click on the
  Touch screen driver and select Update Driver Software.

Also, I suggest you to contact the device manufacturer website and try to update the chipset drivers as well.

TOUCH SCREEN FEATURE NOT WORKING

This issue could have occurred due to incorrect settings or corrupt driver or software.

Follow the methods given below and check if it works:

Method 1: First try to run Hardware and Device troubleshooter. Follow the steps.

a.Press Windows Key + X, type
Control Panel.

b. Typetroubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.

c.Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.

d.Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: If the issue persists, I would suggest you to Enable Touch screen features and check if it helps.

a) Press Windows key + X.

b) Click Control Panel.

c) Go to Hardware and Sound.

d) Click onPen and touch.

e) Click thetouch tab.

f) Enable use your finger as an input.

Method 3: I suggest you to update the touch pad drivers and check for the resolution.You may follow the steps:

a) Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on
Device Manager.

b) Expand Human Interface Devices.

c) Locate the Touch pad driver.

d) Right-click on the driver icon and click on
Update Driver Software.

e) Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.

f) Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touchpad driver.
