Windows 10: Bluetooth and USB 3.1 ports stop working after a few hours

I have a:

• B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) motherboard
• Corsair 88R case

Ever since building the pc, my Bluetooth stops working - WiFi works, but not Bluetooth.

It's not in setting anymore and it becomes hidden in Device Manager. Only a restart solves this. I have tried reinstalling Bluetooth drivers but nothing. Also updated the BIOS to the latest firmware, but nothing. It just randomly happens.

In the last few days, the front USB ports (3.0 and 3.1 gen 2) and the back motherboard USB 3.1 gen 2 (but not the 3.0 ports, those keep working) ports, also stop working whenever Bluetooth stops, too.

For all the ports and Bluetooth, Device Manager's properties gives this device status:

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

USB 3 Ports Stopped Working


My front and rear USB 3 ports stopped working. The rear USB 2 ports still work. When I plug an external HDD into the front USB 3 ports it powers up the drive, but it isn't recognized in Windows Explorer. My USB card reader doesn't light up. Device Manager doesn't show any USB 3 devices, and nothing is showing a yellow x in Device Manager.

Any ideas? The last time I used the front ports was a few weeks ago at most. There have been Windows 10 updates since then, but I don't know specifically when they stopped working.





Edit: Solved. After reading on another forum that powering down solved the problem, I thought I'd try it. I was skeptical, but surprisingly, it worked. Resets did nothing, but powering down for a few minutes, and then turning it back on did restore the USB 3 ports.

 

USB 2.0 Ports Stopped working

Hello,

I recently noticed my USB 2.0 ports have stopped working, but my USB 3.0 port is functioning perfectly.

Steps i have tried:

- Restarting

- Searching for device changes in Device manager

- running troubleshooter

all these suggested fixes didn't remedy the issue, its a bit of an inconvenience that i only have one functioning USB port

USB 3 Ports not working

Hi folks,
i was trying to copy some files from an external drive using the usb 3 port on my M/B but it doesnt work, i downloaded the drivers from the Manufacturers website but no luck either, am i missing an important step here? i havent checked the Bios yet
